What Clients Are Saying
"We had ambitious growth targets and a leadership team that wasn't aligned on how to get there. Loretta helped us identify the real opportunities, build a plan the whole team could rally around — and we didn't just meet our targets, we surpassed them. She sees both the strategic picture and the operational detail, and pushes you in exactly the right places."
- CEO, Retail Brand
“Loretta’s keynote at our International Convention was spectacular - and its impact on our 700 members in the room, myself included, was immediate and lasting. She gave our leaders language and permission to lead differently, and that’s exactly what our sisterhood needed to hear.”
- Board Chair & Fraternity President of Tri Delta
"Loretta came in when our culture wasn't keeping pace with our growth. She asked the hard questions, challenged our assumptions, and helped us build an organization designed for where we were headed — not where we'd been."
- Chief People Officer, Consumer Brand
Meet Loretta Soffe
Former Nordstrom EVP. Keynote speaker, retail and brand advisor, and author of Balance is Bullshit.
I spent 25 years building one of America's most iconic retail businesses - from the sales floor to EVP, leading a $2B division - while raising three kids in a role-reversed marriage and trying to hold it all together.
Then everything changed.
And what I discovered on the other side became the most important work of my life: that the way most ambitious women are living and leading isn't sustainable, and it was never meant to be.
I've been married for 27 years, raised three thriving kids, and built a business I love — and a life that finally feels as good as it looks. Not because I figured out balance. Because I stopped trying to.
Today I take that experience onto the keynote stage, into boardrooms, and into the organizations that are ready to do something different for their women.

BALANCE
IS BULLSHIT
Your roadmap to a thriving marriage, grounded kids, and career success.
Balance is a myth. You already know it. This book finally says it out loud and gives you a framework for what actually works instead
Not a self-help book. Not a hustle manual. A real roadmap for ambitious women who want a thriving career, a strong marriage, grounded kids, and a self that isn't last on the list.
Praise for Balance is Bullshit
"Balance means different things to different people. The author dives into the details or REAL BALANCE and makes you think whole heartedly about family, work, real friends and spirituality."
"I often read terms like authenticity, alignment, commitment, humility, clarity, growth, connection, resilience, etc. But Loretta brings these to life through lived experience and shares how they can ground one and help them forge their own path in life. And the book is not only about leadership and living your life authentically, it is about living a life in love – with a partner, children, family, grandparents. It is an extraordinary book and I urge you to read it, then pass it along."
"It has invaluable lessons about parenting, spousal partnership, and leadership in business it is a veritable how-to for happiness and success in all three areas. It’s informative, heartwarming, funny, and relatable. It is a refreshing reminder about the power of values and effort."
